Nature is deep and beautiful. Unfortunately, in modern American life, most people - and most children - have relatively little contact with nature. As a scientist, gamer, idealist, and child-at-heart, I was saddened by this situation but inspired by the potential of games to teach, transform, and inspire.

In Fire and Flora, your goal is to manage a diverse, and beautiful landscape in an unpredictable world. The game cards represent real-world plants, animals, places, and ecological forces, while the game rules model the real-world connections among these real-world elements. To win the game, you’ll have to be crafty, and make good use of your resources: rainstorms, fires, weed crews, pack rats, evil squirrels, and more.

Fire and Flora has been endorsed by teachers, scientists, full-grown kids, still-growing kids, and was an Official Selection at IndieCade 2015. Come join us for some seriously good fun!
